1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Charged Up Games ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our mobile games, websites, and related support channels (collectively, the "Services").

In brief

  • Our games are not for children. You must be 13 or over to play, and players under 18 need a parent or guardian's permission and supervision.
  • We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.
  • We collect information needed to run the game, show ads, process purchases, keep the app stable, measure our marketing, and provide support.
  • We use crash reporting to keep our games stable. Where the law requires consent, it is off unless you turn it on.
  • We do not sell your personal information for money.
  • You can contact us to access or delete your data at [email protected].

2. Who We Are

The data controller for the personal information described in this Policy is:

Charged Up Games Ltd

3. Information We Collect

We collect information needed to operate our Services, provide support, deliver ads, process purchases, keep our games stable, measure our marketing, and comply with legal obligations.

A. Information You Provide to Us

  • Support Messages: If you contact support, we may collect your email address and the details you provide (for example, issue descriptions or screenshots).

B. Information We Collect Automatically

  • Gameplay and Progress: Game progress, inventory, in-game currency, and other data needed to run the game and restore your progress.
  • Device Information: Device model, operating system version, language, IP address, and related technical information.
  • Crash and Diagnostic Data (subject to your choices): Through Firebase Crashlytics, we collect crash reports and related diagnostic information (such as device model, operating system version, and the state of the app when a problem occurred) to identify and fix stability issues. Reports are linked to a randomly generated app instance identifier, not to your name or contact details. In regions where consent is required, crash reporting stays off until you turn it on (see Section 5.E).
  • Advertising Data: Through Unity LevelPlay (our ad mediation provider) and the third-party ad networks it mediates, advertising identifiers (where available), interactions with ads, and anti-fraud information may be processed.
  • Usage and Performance Data (subject to your choices): Through Firebase Analytics, information about how our games are used and how they perform — such as session activity, in-game progress, and interactions with game features — to help us measure and improve our games. This data is linked to a randomly generated app instance identifier and does not include your name or contact details.
  • Marketing Measurement Data (subject to your choices): When we advertise our games on other platforms, the advertising partners we work with (such as TikTok) may receive device information, advertising identifiers (where available), and app events such as installs, app opens, and purchases. This helps us understand whether our marketing campaigns are working. It does not include your name or contact details.
  • Purchase Information: Whether you have purchased in-app products, including a Remove Ads purchase.
  • Age Signals (where provided): In some regions, app stores are required by law to tell apps whether an account holder is under 18, or to provide an age range. Where we receive such a signal, it is used only to apply age-appropriate settings and to comply with the law. We do not use it for advertising, profiling, or analytics.

4. How We Use Your Information

  • Operate our Services: Save progress, deliver core functionality, and honor purchases such as Remove Ads.
  • Apply privacy controls: Apply age-appropriate protections and respect your privacy choices.
  • Show advertising: Display ads through Unity LevelPlay and the ad networks it mediates, subject to your privacy choices.
  • Measure our marketing: Understand how players find our games and how well our advertising campaigns perform, subject to your privacy choices.
  • Keep our games stable: Diagnose and fix crashes, errors, and performance problems.
  • Improve our games: Use usage and performance data only when permitted by your privacy choices.
  • Provide support and security: Respond to inquiries, detect abuse and fraud, maintain reliability, and comply with legal obligations.

5. Age, Ads, and Analytics

A. Age Requirements

Our games are general-audience games and are not directed to children. You must be at least 13 years old to play. If you are aged 13 to 17, you may only play with the permission and under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian. By using our Services you confirm that you meet these requirements.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that a child under 13 has used our Services, please contact us at [email protected] and we will remove their information.

B. Players Under 18

Where we receive an age signal indicating that a player is under 18 (see Section 3), we apply age-appropriate settings: ads are not personalized, no information is shared with advertising partners for marketing measurement, and analytics is used only in regions where consent is not required by law. In regions where consent is required (such as the EEA, UK, and Switzerland), analytics and crash reporting are both disabled for these players, because a player under 18 cannot give that consent themselves.

C. Privacy Consent Prompt

  • In some regions (such as the EEA, UK, and Switzerland), you will see a privacy consent prompt when you open the app. Your choices control whether ads can be personalized, whether information is shared with advertising partners to measure our marketing, whether we use analytics, and whether we collect crash reports. Nothing is switched on before you answer, and no option is pre-selected. You can change your choices at any time through the in-app privacy options.
  • Where consent is not required by law, personalized ads, marketing measurement, and analytics may be enabled according to applicable rules.

D. Advertising

Our ad-supported games may show different types of ads, including full-screen, banner, and optional rewarded ads. If you purchase Remove Ads, most interrupting ads are removed, but optional rewarded ads may still be available if you choose to watch them.

E. Crash Reporting and App Stability

We use Firebase Crashlytics to detect crashes and stability problems. Whether it is active depends on where you are:

  • Where consent is required by law (such as the EEA, UK, and Switzerland), crash reporting is off by default and is only enabled if you turn it on in the privacy consent prompt. If you decline, or close the app before answering, no crash reports are collected. You can change this at any time through the in-app privacy options.
  • Everywhere else, crash reporting is enabled on the basis of our legitimate interest in providing a working, reliable product. You can still turn it off through the in-app privacy options.

Crash reporting does not start when the app launches. It stays switched off until your choice has been established, so nothing is sent before then. Crash reports contain technical diagnostic information only; we do not attach names, contact details, or advertising identifiers.

6. How We Share Information

We do not sell personal information for money. We share information with service providers that process data on our behalf:

  • Unity Technologies (Unity LevelPlay / ironSource): Ad mediation. LevelPlay routes ad requests to third-party ad networks, and the network that serves a given ad may receive advertising and device information in order to deliver, cap, and measure it. The set of ad networks we work with may change over time.
  • Google: Firebase Crashlytics (crash and diagnostic data) and Firebase Analytics (usage data, where permitted).
  • Advertising and Marketing Partners: Platforms where we advertise our games, such as TikTok, to measure the performance of our campaigns, where permitted by your privacy choices. The partners we work with may change over time.
  • App Stores: Google Play and the Apple App Store process in-app purchases and payment transactions.
  • Cloud Providers: Service providers that host our backend and operational systems.
  • Legal and Safety: Where required by law or necessary to protect rights, users, or the integrity of our Services.

For more information about how Unity handles data, see the Unity Game Player and App User Privacy Policy.

For more information about how Google handles data, see the Google Privacy Policy, Google Ads Technologies, and How Google uses data when you use partners' sites or apps.

For more information about how TikTok handles data, see the TikTok Privacy Policy.

7. Your Rights and Choices

A. Everyone

  • Ad choices: You can limit ad personalization through your device settings and, where available, in-app privacy options.
  • Access and deletion: You may request access to or deletion of your personal information by emailing [email protected]. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe and, where required by law, within 45 days.

B. EEA, UK, and Switzerland (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your data, and to object to certain processing.

We process data on the following legal bases:

  • Contract: To provide core game functionality and services you request.
  • Consent: For personalized ads, marketing measurement, analytics, and crash reporting where required by applicable law.
  • Legitimate Interests: For app stability, security, fraud prevention, and service integrity, balanced against your rights. Outside the regions where consent is required, we also rely on this basis for crash reporting.

To exercise your rights, contact [email protected]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

C. U.S. State Privacy Rights

If you are a resident of California or another U.S. state with applicable privacy law, you may have rights to know, access, delete, correct, and opt out of certain sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising.

  • Right to Know/Access: Request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we hold about you.
  • Right to Delete: Request deletion, subject to legal exceptions.
  • Right to Correct: Request correction of inaccurate personal information.
  • Right to Opt Out of Sale/Sharing: We do not sell personal information for money. Certain advertising-related activity, including marketing measurement with advertising partners, may be considered "sharing" under some state laws. You can opt out through applicable device and in-app settings.
  • Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
  • Appeals: If we deny a request where an appeal is required by law, we will explain how to appeal.
  • Authorized Agents: Where permitted by law, you may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. We may require verification of the agent's authority.

To exercise these rights, contact [email protected]. We aim to respond within 45 days as required by applicable law.

8. Data Security, Retention, and International Transfers

A. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

B. Retention

We keep data for as long as needed to provide our Services, maintain business records, enforce agreements, resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations. Retention periods vary by data type and provider.

C. International Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and stored in countries outside your own, including the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country. We take steps to ensure your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Policy. For transfers from the EEA or UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on our website and change the effective date above. If we make material changes to how we collect or use personal information, we will provide more prominent notice, such as a notice in our games. Please review this page periodically for changes.
